A Family Get-Together – KPS style! by Jeff Davis
The cafeterias of George Fischer Middle School rang with the shouts of excited KPS students Thursday night, as they moved between the two rooms during your KPSPTO March event. Bella Sera, your KPS Family Spaghetti Dinner was a new event for this year, with your KPSPTO partnering with the crew of Applebees to host an evening full of great food, wonderful homemade desserts and fun activities for our kids.
The true test of a great KPS event, however, is… did the kids have fun? Bella Sera answered with a resounding Yes! as our children exercised their minds with crafts and coloring before the Obstacle Course activity took over the room, powered by the folks at All Out Fitness. Following that, kids got to explore their creativity through theater games and improvisation with Bonnie and John Ryerson of the Pied Piper Youth Theater. Many parents were pleasantly surprised at just how enthusiastic their kids were during the many games and exercises the Ryersons use as instructional methods to teach self-confidence, presence and team-building. The kids didn’t know they were learning…they were just having fun!
Great food, authentic Italian music, wonderful donations from the community of prizes and desserts, and the smiles of happy parents and children marked another new tradition for KPS. Bella Sera…it was a beautiful evening.

And, of course, all of the KPS family members who volunteered their time and energy to help make this event a success. Without you, nothing gets done.
